Games Master

Games & Playable Experience

GAME SYSTEM DESIGN is a Master's programme with a focus on games, playable environments, game thinking, and eXtended Realities. The focus is on the extended and in-depth teaching and application of interdisciplinary, artistic, and technical methods for the design, creation, and realisation of games, game systems, sets of rules, toys, and related interactive systems, as well as the transfer of game principles to other areas.

Project-based studies

The programme focuses on an artistic or artistic-technical project, which can also have an entrepreneurial focus. Individual coaching by a competent team of professors and lecturers helps you to develop your project successfully.

In addition, the examination of the phenomenon of play and its dimensions, its transdisciplinary forms and its applications will open up new perspectives and potential for you. The degree programme is accompanied by supplementary subjects such as Creative Producing or Game Thinking. You can find an overview of the study plan here.

Application

For your application, you submit a three-page exposé of your competences and your goals for your Master's programme as well as your portfolio. The exposé should show your motivation your vision and your professional orientation. You are welcome to submit a specific team project. You can find more information here.
