Application
How do I apply for a place to study game design
The Bachelor’s program in game design is an admission-limited bachelor degree course. It requires conceptual and artistic talents. The numerus clausus does not represent these abilities. You therefore have the opportunity to demonstrate your suitability during the application process.
5 Steps
1. work on the task for the aptitude test.
For the homework of the aptitude test, the current topic has to be worked on individually. The results of the work and optionally a small selection of free, own work samples are to be presented in a portfolio/box.
2. register online for the aptitude test
The homework for the aptitude test must be registered via our aptitude test portal.
3. submit in time
Send the homework results to HTW Berlin by post or submit them in person. Last day of submission (postmark of HTW Berlin) is 15 June (in case of a public holiday or Sunday, the next following working day applies).
Alternatively and additionally, digital submission via the aptitude test portal is also possible.
4. application test
If the homework is deemed to have been passed by a selection committee, the applicant will be invited to an on-site application test. If you also successfully pass the application test, you will receive proof of your suitability for the degree programme.
5. enrol online
Once you have passed the aptitude test, you must apply for enrolment via the HTW Berlin online application. The selection committee sends proof of the successful aptitude test in the form of a list with the names of the successful applicants directly to the Admissions Office. This office checks the transcripts and, if applicable, the certificates in order to enrol the applicant at the university.
